# 盖茨花 8000 万美元买了块地，说是要打造“智慧城市”

最近，比尔‧盖茨买花了 8000 万美元在美国亚利桑那州买了一块土地。

实际操作的是盖茨名下的房地产投资公司 Belmont Partners，这块占地近 25000 英亩（约 101.2 平方公里）的土地位于凤凰城以西约 50 英里处的托诺帕（Tonopah）沙漠，气候温暖。

那么盖茨买土地做什么？

根据 Belmont 公司在新闻稿的说法，他们是要在这里建造一座“智慧城市”：

> Belmont 将打造一座具有前瞻性的社区，社区将配备通讯和采用各种尖端技术的基础设施，包括高速网络、数据中心、新制造技术和分销模式、自动驾驶汽车和自主物流中心等。

亚利桑那州技术委员会的官员认为，该项目选择 Tonopah 是一个明智之举，因为它靠近新开通的 11 号州际高速公路，这条公路预计将贯穿贝尔蒙特，延长至拉斯维加斯。

[根据 KPNX 报道](http://www.12news.com/news/local/valley/bill-gates-buys-big-chunk-of-land-in-arizona-to-build-smart-city/490978125)，“智慧城市”将容纳 8 万个住宅单位，此外还有 470 英亩将用于建设公立学校，另外 3800 英亩则用于办公楼、商业建筑和零售店的建设。

至于这座城市将于何时建成，目前尚未有确切信息。
