# HP：让手机再飞一会

HP 近期出智能手机？在这么多智能手机的包围下，消费者们无暇顾及，HP 也高兴，因为——它并不急着出，至少明年没有打算。

据 [Business Insider](http://www.businessinsider.com/meg-whitman-hp-smartphone-timetable-2012-10?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+typepad%2Falleyinsider%2Fsilicon_alley_insider+%28Silicon+Alley+Insider%29) 报道，在 Gartner Symposium IT Expo 研讨会上，Meg Whitman 在接受[采访](http://www.forbes.com/sites/ericsavitz/2012/10/24/hp-ceo-meg-whitman-live-from-the-gartner-symposium/)时表示 HP 明年不会出智能手机。对于 HP 提供全范围设备的目标来说，智能手机不可或缺，但 HP 当下忙不过来，何况它缺少实现不同设备间连接的技术。至于用什么操作系统，Meg Whitman 也未透露。

- ——Will you have a smartphone or not? 会出智能手机吗？  
    ——Not in 2013, but eventually yes. Have to offer a full range of devices. 2013 年不会，但最终会。我们必然会提供全范围设备。
- ——How will you compete if you wait 2 more years? 这么说你打算等多两年？  
    —— In a turnaround, you need pacing and sequencing. Focus incredibly important. 企业复兴时，你需要注意循序渐进。专注相当重要。

HP 多忙呢？现在它正试图打入云计算市场；巨额买下 Autonomy 和 Vertica，HP 在大数据世界中寻求立足之地；计算机安全市场的份额也不能松手；考虑怎么卖出更多的 Windows 8 平板电脑；与 Oracle 争夺高端服务器生意……

HP 2010 年买下 Palm，那时 Meg Whitman 尚未加入 HP。但 HP 最终关闭 Palm 硬件部门，而将软件开发投入到神秘的 Gram 中。此后在移动设备道路上，HP 不得不依赖着微软。现在 Meg Whitman 的选择并不多，专注当下业务，为公司赚钱，也许是最实际的。

两年后，HP 可能跟微软走得更近，出一部 Windows Phone 手机，也可能摆脱微软，投向 Android。但现在，HP 很忙，只能让手机再飞一会。
