# 终于，Chrome 自带的阅读模式登场

阅读网页很容易被不必要的信息分心，因此我在使用 Chrome 时常常会借助印象笔记开发的「悦读」插件，进入沉浸式的阅读模式。而 Safari 自带的阅读模式功能则免去了安装插件的麻烦。

现在，Chrome 也可以在不借助插件的情况下进入到阅读模式了。

Chromium 项目的布道官 Francois Beaufort 在 Google+上发布了一条[消息](https://plus.google.com/u/0/+FrancoisBeaufort/posts/KEcP88z2tfh)：

> Chromium 团队正在打造一个名为 [DOM Distiller](https://github.com/chromium/dom-distiller) 的开源项目，旨在为 Chrome 用户提供更好的阅读体验。

事实上，阅读模式上一年就隐藏在了移动端 Chrome 浏览器中。用户在输入框中输入「chrome://flags#enable-reader-mode-toolbar-icon」进入到设置页面，选择激活并重启 Chrome 后就开启了阅读模式功能。

然而在实际操作中，发现在 Chrome 中请求了桌面网页后，阅读模式的图标才会出现在浏览器右上角。

桌面端则需要在 Chrome 中运行「*–*-enable-dom-distiller」命令，具体步骤请查看 DOM Distiller 项目在 Github 上的[页面](https://github.com/chromium/dom-distiller)。
